| Description: | A heavy driver that hurls a container that detonates at a set distance and sprays the area with hyper-velocity shrapnel. Very good at damaging tight groups of small enemy ships. Like all mass-driver weapons, bursters push the target off-course. |

| Effect: | Bursters are designed for use against Destroyers. Aside from producing a considerable amount of damage, they impact with a considerable amount of kinetic energy, shoving the vessel off course. Burster fire is recognizable by the small balls of matter that fly away from the impact site. Each burster round will release 12 fragments. They have a noticeably reduced chance (-100%) of ricocheting off of ship armor. |
