Research Interface

The research interface shows currently researched technologies and allows you to choose the next technology to research.

The research interface is a cylinder, with the research tree printed on the inside and your view looking from the center outward. The tech tree appears to utilize the same quality of scaling as is used on the 3-D map. One may zoom-in close for a look at a technology's details, and zoom-out seamlessly. Naturally, this interface includes the option of beginning a new research project. You can also begin research on Special Projects, Boost your current research (with a chance for something to go wrong) and see your research history.

Research divides into logical trees. Each of these is labeled by type (Energy, Industry, etc.). From these ten base technologies stem more advanced ones, placed higher up this cylindrical figure.
